Statement of Prophetic Integrity

Statement of Commitment to Prophetic Integrity

PROMOTING HEALTHY PROPHETIC MINISTRY:

As a ministry we would never condone and we would refute that we would ever find information online to prophesy over people. Because this has happened historically with a few individuals, there is a suspicion that has been created and we have been accused of this several times (specifically from 2016-2019) when we were traveling full time and modeling and teaching in the body of Christ how to pursue the spiritual gift of words of knowledge which hasn’t had a lot of teaching around it up until this current generation.

PRACTICING POINTS OF OUR PROPHETIC STANDARDS:

In 2019 there were a lot of questions about words of knowledge and the theology of the prophetic being directed at our ministry. These were important questions specifically around words of knowledge as well as some asking what are the boundaries of making prophetic predictions over relationships or finances. Because of these, we really wanted to define what we felt like would be the most healthy version of good boundaries and also clearly take a stand for what is a good word of knowledge. We decided to change some of the ways that I minister publicly as well as how our teams that we have sent out would minister to create safety and health.

We as a ministry fight for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and their purpose in the body of Christ especially in the prophetic as part of what we think brings a well balanced Christian life.

We made several changes in our ministry team back in 2019 and my own personal public platform to help flow in the word of knowledge-gifting without having as much room for criticism and doubt. We want to share some of these commitments and protocols our ministry adopted to help others who want to help share the genuine prophetic gifts.

Here are some of the standards we set in our ministry when it comes to practicing prophetic gifts so you can see what is important to our ministry and hopefully it can help inform your own approach if you are new to this or help sharpen you if you are unfamiliar with practicing the prophetic. We are consistently adjusting our ministry protocols to keep the people we are called to minister to safe as well as the people who practice it. Most of these protocols were already being practiced, but we reinforced them and have held the line for years:

  1. Words of Knowledge

    a) We will not share any information that is obvious as a word of knowledge (meaning it can be found online like birthdays, anniversaries, peoples names, addresses) in our prophetic words. Ask God for what 1 Corinthians 14 says is the secrets of the heart. In this way people can have confidence that if a word comes it came from God.

    b) We will not share words of knowledge about someone’s pain, relational issues, or anything negative publicly. It’s easy to go to a place of inner healing or what is wrong, but if you are going to share these things in front of their family or friends it can put them in a bad light or cause misunderstanding.

    c) We will not share words of knowledge about resources or finances publicly because it puts pressure on exposing someone’s condition to people who aren’t involved. People who have money can be pursued wrongly, people who don’t have it can become shamed.

  2. Prophecy:

    a) We will not share prophetic words publicly that are about judgement or correction.

    b) We will not prophesy about romantic relationships with people who are not married.

    c) We will not prophesy about business deals or contracts with specific groups or people or that finances or resources are supposed to be given away that are not yours. We will also not prophesy about business partnerships with specific people together, or that someone will be working with someone else by name because it can cause confusion and manipulation.

    d) We will not prophesy over people struggling with infertility by promising them they will get pregnant.

    e) We will not prophesy conditional words “Unless you do this…this will not happen…” No words with ultimatums.

  3. Discernment:

    a) We will not share negative things we have discerned publicly about individuals or other believers.

    b) We will not share public discernment over individuals about the demonic.

  4. Stewardship:

    a) We will not post internet videos or social media videos of our own prophecy over others. If they want to post it let them but it’s their story, not ours unless they specifically give us permission. (Remember in the social media age people who are against this kind of ministry may track them down and harass them. We are seeing such an increased harassment of people who shared their testimonies of our prophetic ministry that for their sake we took them down so they can tell their own stories about us).

    b) If you prophesy something publicly that doesn’t happen, take public responsibility somewhere that you can point people to who have questions.

    c) If you have a word that has any direction in it (about moving, career change, etc) make sure to express that they need to get confirmation and that the word is not meant to be their direction, it’s supposed to support what God is already telling them.

We have never had to correct our team in a big way for violating any of these standards because they are relational guards to keep everyone safe. Feel free to adopt them in your ministry team.

Although I, Shawn Bolz, do not do a lot of traveling ministry and our focus has turned to media/entertainment, I still want to help support the prophetic ministry and movement and steward my relationships that have been for over 30 years in this ministry in the healthiest way possible. That is our commitment as a ministry to you and to the body of Christ.

Statement of Commitment to Prophetic Integrity
1. We believe that God is still speaking today to bring us into the fullness of life
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
God’s voice is active, leading us into fullness of life. Our faith is grounded in the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and in an intimate relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit (John 14:26).

2. We believe that every person is called to be justified by their own faith, not to be led by someone else who proposes what God is telling them to do.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Each believer is responsible for their personal faith journey (Romans 14:12) while remaining accountable to the gospel and connected to a committed community of believers (Hebrews 10:24-25).

3. We believe that prophecy is for the building up and edification of people and what God is doing in the world and in the church.
“But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging, and comfort.” (1 Corinthians 14:3)
The church, as the body of Christ, is called to reflect God’s purposes in the world through love, truth, and unity (Ephesians 4:11-13).

4. We believe every Christian can hear God and share what He is saying to the world around them.
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
Hearing God’s voice is the inheritance of every believer (Acts 2:17-18) and a sign of a dynamic relationship with Him (James 1:5).

5. We believe in words of prophecy, words of wisdom, and words of knowledge.
“To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:8-9)
The Holy Spirit empowers believers with gifts to reveal God’s purposes (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).

6. We believe in integrity to share words in a way that is for the love of God and His love for people.
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” (Proverbs 3:3)
Integrity in prophecy includes:
Not sharing personal knowledge as if it were revealed insight (Proverbs 11:3).
Avoiding manipulative ultimatums (James 3:17).
Respecting relational boundaries (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

7. We believe that prophecy is for the sake of getting to know Christ and seeing His transformation through your life and in the world around you.
“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10)
Prophecy is a tool to reveal Jesus and His transformative power (2 Corinthians 3:18), not an end in itself.

8. We commit to pursuing the gifts of the Holy Spirit with love and balance, prioritizing unity in the body of Christ.
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)
While the gifts of the Spirit may provoke division or suspicion, our focus is love and building bridges (1 Corinthians 13:1-2), knowing that the goal is the maturity and unity of the church (Colossians 3:14).

This statement reflects a commitment to steward the prophetic gift with humility, love, and integrity, prioritizing relationship with Christ and the health of His church.
