REVELATIONS FOR 2016
Cherie and I believe God is inviting us into a year of thriving. If you are already blessed, He wants to bless you with more. If you have been in a hard time waiting on God for more, it is your year!
These are the three areas that God has given us revelation on for you in 2016:
1) A NEW LEVEL OF MATURATION IS COMING FOR EVERYONE
I heard the Lord say: “I am maturing even the mature.”
Having a two year old proves to me that no one likes being talked down to. The majority of Christianity’s modern books, classes, and messages are for the lowest common denominator of understanding. People are longing to grow and want to hear vulnerable truth wrapped in reality. Growth happens when we appeal to a higher denominator of maturity. A maturity where everyone grows instead of relearning the basics over and over in ways that make them almost inoculated to them.
I remember sitting at family dinners and sometimes my parents would talk about things that were over my head. They were so engaging, and I was hungry to grow. I listened and learned, and made huge leaps in my understanding quickly. I think the reason why this generation of Christians is lacking so much emotional intelligence is because they have not been challenged to be responsible for what they have been learning. Also, we have not raised each other in a culture of empowerment. A culture where everyone is not only put into a position to learn, but we are expected to always be growing and teaching.
I love what the writer of Hebrews says in Hebrews 5:11-14 (msg) “I have a lot more to say about this, but it is hard to get it across to you since you’ve picked up this bad habit of not listening. By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you needing someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one-baby’s milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago! Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God’s ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong.”
Of course, learning is a process and we can’t substitute anything for this amazing discipleship journey that the Holy Spirit has us on. One thing we can do though is recognize when we (or someone else we are responsible for) are ready for more responsibility and empowerment, and prepare ourselves to walk in it.
When you treat someone out of a place of honor, you become a contributor in that persons life. You make investments in their life and not just withdraws. You create a teacher. You create a voice. You create through fathering/mothering, an empowered person who just might be a whole lot more powerful than you. You create a father/mother.
For the all of Christianity: It is time to do things different and create new models of maturing people from a place of love. I believe we are going to see a huge amount of a new generation of leaders rising up this year. It is going to bring so much encouragement to Christianity all over the world. These new ones will have a fresh voice and brilliant perspective.
For you personally: Think about Oprah, who has the best tools of human development along with the highest quality relationships. This is all available to you to press you forward on your journey. Now realize that God is doing more then what is humanly possible. He is taking you on a journey that is beyond what you can hope or imagine for in yourself. He wants to resource your journey to become the best version of yourself!
He is sending the “best of the best” to develop you just like He sent the “best of the best” to build His temple where He would dwell in Solomons day. If you have faith that God has made you His temple, then there is no expense he will spare in making you the best dwelling place you can be. There are no limits!
2) GOD IS GOING TO GIVE YOU EYES TO SEE HIS PLAN MORE CLEARLY
HE HAS ALREADY STARTED UNFOLDING HIS PLAN TO BRING YOU INTO WHAT HE CREATED YOU FOR. HE WANTS TO GIVE YOU SEEING EYES FOR THE PROCESS
This means you are going to really be able to see the depth in which His love has prepared good for you. He is even going to show you how He works on the hard things for your good, and He gives you a fresh spiritual perspective. Joshua & Caleb spied out the promised land and could understand what a good thing God had prepared for the Israelite’s, God wants to give you a picture of the good He has prepared for you.
There is a fresh sense of anticipation available to you for the greater things God has promised. God wants to help your belief by giving you another dose of vision and wisdom that will set you on a focused course towards fulfillment.
I believe the main access for this fresh anticipation and move of faith will be in worship and being present with gratitude for what God has done or is already doing. Set apart deliberate time for worship over his goodness this year! It will be so pivotal for you to be present and available to focus on what He is doing!
3) TO THRIVE EXTERNALLY AND RELATIONALLY: HE IS GOING TO SHOW US HOW TO THRIVE INTERNALLY.
One of the most beautiful things that Jesus did for us is to promise us John 10:10, a fully thriving abundant life. This was a personal promise for us to live a higher quality of life, a life that is beyond what you can gain from even the best of a normal human effort. We get to participate with the divine nature of Christ (2 Peter 1:4) which means, we are not limited to our human weaknesses and even our natural strengths. We get to fully embrace God’s nature in a way that makes us supernatural.
Before we can thrive in our purpose or even relationally, God wants to develop our identity and many of you have been in a place where it’s all been about identity! Well guess what? The fruit of identity is going to manifest this year and you are going to start to see a tipping point of goodness externally.
PRAYER OF IMPARTATION
Part of this prophetic season that I have been in with words of knowledge and prophetic understandings has made it clear to me that my life is transferable. The Prophetic expression that is on my life and the way that I hear from God is available for you. I pray that everyone of you reading this would have an impartation for your own journey of thriving in 2016.
We love you,
Shawn & Cherie and the Bolz Ministries team
